Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Working within the Consumer Experience team, this role will oversee a team of individuals responsible for driving successful execution of product launches and campaigns with a focus on ensuring accurate and compelling product metadata. They will work to optimize existing tools and processes, audit product data quality and work across markets to prioritize data quality needs with global teams to ultimately deliver best in class merchandising experiences across all adidas digital platforms.

Our goal is to showcase our products to consumers in the best way possible through product image and product data experiences, and help consumers navigate through the site to find the perfect product for their sport and lifestyle needs. Bringing a product to life on site is an extremely rewarding element of this role as product configurations and metadata are the foundation of our website and APP experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management of product metadata, product launch and imagery across all digital touch points for new product launches and the existing catalog with a priority on NAM
  • Manage, coach and develop a team focused on attention to detail, problem solving and collaboration
  • Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to enhance tools and processes, driving efficiency and optimization with product metadata
  • Partner closely with the Digital Visual Merchandising team based in Portland, Oregon on Product Launch and Campaign strategy
  • Drive strong cross market collaboration to gain insights on global product data quality issues. Document, prioritize and work to escalate global data needs
  • Ensure communication of pre-launch risks to stakeholders and leadership
  • Leverage functional expertise and operational insights to support senior leaders in decision making
  • Support hindsight data quality analysis and prioritize actions globally
  • Oversee tracking of launch project plans and risk mitigation
  • Ensure allocation of resources to drive the most critical digital priorities
  • Monitor, report, and deliver against project timelines and KPIs

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Understand how to contribute to the overall strategy and work towards shared goals
  • Strong project management experience, including work breakdown structure development and tracking
  • Know how to set priorities in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines, while producing high quality work
  • Ability to collaborate across teams to define and implement new processes
  • Experience in managing risks and stakeholders
  • Data driven mindset. If you do not have a passion for data, this role is not for you
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with third-party product information management tools (preferred)
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in ecommerce or product meta data
  • Team Leadership Experience required
  • Digital Experience highly preferred
  • Project Management Experience preferred
  • Campaign Activation Experience preferred
  • BA / BS in Merchandising, Accounting, Finance, Business, IT or related field preferred
