1. Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Develop and execute localized supply chain strategies aligned with regional and global objectives.
  • Lead planning and execution for new product launches, ensuring seamless availability and inventory readiness.
  • Enable operational alignment across commercial, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure service excellence and business continuity.
2. Operational Excellence & Inventory Performance
  • Monitor and enhance inventory performance, focusing on line fill rate, order-to-ship accuracy, and scrap reduction.
  • Drive structured actions to minimize E&O, short shelf-life risks, and backorder impact.
  • Lead the implementation of inventory targets, DC replenishment, and monthly metric tracking and reporting.
3. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between local teams and global supply chain, demand planning, and marketing functions.
  • Coordinate with Finance on consignment targets, purchase planning, and financial reporting.
  • Partner with regional/international marketing for product allocations, ABC classification, and demand forecasting accuracy.
4. Quality, Compliance & SIOP Alignment
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with Boston Scientific’s SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Support quality commitments through proactive documentation, material master maintenance, and data accuracy.
5. Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Own and optimize the use of ERP (SAP) and data tools (Power BI/Tableau) for real-time insights and predictive planning.
  • Generate consolidated monthly and quarterly inventory projections and reporting for international stakeholders.
6. Project & Change Management
  • Lead and participate in strategic projects aimed at improving visibility, access, and operational efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Enable continuous improvement by applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and root cause analysis tools.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain leadership, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
  • B2–C1 English proficiency and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP (SAP preferred), Power BI/Tableau, and leading cross-functional projects.
Preferred Competencies:
  • Master’s or MBA degree preferred.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification.
  • Strong familiarity with Central America market dynamics and global supply chain transformation initiatives.
Success in This Role Will Be Measured By:
  • Improved inventory accuracy, line fill rate, and reduced scrap/E&O.
  • Flawless execution of NPLs and inventory readiness.
  • Enhanced integration of Costa Rica’s supply chain within regional/global operations.
  • Strong cross-functional relationships and stakeholder trust.
  • Timely, data-driven reporting and KPI achievement.
