As aHere, you will make an impact by:
- Growing 3M business with key distribution partners in assigned geography
- Delivering the 3M EMD Brand Promise to distribution
- Using analytic and category management skills to Identify, influence, and manage new sales and conversion opportunities in the Channel
- Reporting and managing product stock levels and new product stock suggestions to generate orders
- Conducting Quarterly Business Reviews with key accounts/executives
- Identifying and develop marketing and promotional activities
- Building relationships with new and existing stakeholders to increase sales
- Communicating, presenting, and selling local and national promotions to multiple stakeholders
- Coordinating and implementing events, training, and merchandising sales plans
- Managing contracts and RFQ’s
- Conducting multiple weekly Authorized Distributor branch visits
- Training distributor counter and sales personnel
- Working on a team of Commercial & Industrial sales professionals and partner 3M divisions
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited universityand Two (2) years of sales experiencein a private, public, government or military environment
- High school diploma and Ten (10 )years of sales experience in the electrical, construction or industrial marketin a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Four (4) years of distribution sales/marketing and/or management experience
- Experience with analytics, fact-based selling, category management
- Demonstrated experience communicating cross functionally and to all levels in an organization.
- Skilled as proficient at prioritizing and managing many projects simultaneously.
- Aptitude to understand multiple product lines
- Management of multiple segments and marketing channels within distribution
- Solid negotiating and selling skills
