Regional Distribution Sales Representitive

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a
Regional Distribution Sales RepresentativeHere, you will make an impact by:

  • Grow 3M business with key distribution partners in assigned geography

  • Deliver the 3M EMD Brand Promise to distribution

  • Use analytic and category management skills to Identify, influence, and manage new sales and conversion opportunities in the Channel

  • Report and manage product stock levels and new product stock suggestions to generate orders

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key accounts/executives

  • Identify and develop marketing and promotional activities

  • Build relationships with new and existing stakeholders to increase sales

  • Communicate, present, and sell local and national promotions to multiple stakeholders

  • Coordinate and implement events, training, and merchandising sales plans

  • Manage contracts and RFQ’s

  • Conduct multiple weekly Authorized Distributor branch visits

  • Training distributor counter and sales personnel

  • Works on a team of Commercial & Industrial sales professionals and partner 3M divisions

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited universityand Two (2) years of sales experiencein a private, public, government or military environment

  • High school diploma and Ten (10 )years of sales experience in the electrical, construction or industrial marketin a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited universityin sales or marketing

  • Four (4) years of distribution sales/marketing and/or management experience

  • Experience with analytics, fact-based selling, category management

  • Demonstrated experience communicating cross functionally and to all levels in an organization.

  • Skilled as proficient at prioritizing and managing many projects simultaneously.

  • Aptitude to understand multiple product lines

  • Management of multiple segments and marketing channels within distribution

  • Solid negotiating and selling skills

  • Previous experience calling on strategic accounts or influencing/building account support base

  • Proficient business acumen to include working with pricing, customer total profitability, and financial impact of business decision on distribution
