Salesforce is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Manager of Employee Listening. In this role, you’ll be part of a team responsible for delivering research, insights, and programs related to: engagement surveys, lifecycle surveys, sample surveys / pulses, and passive/ambient data streams. You’ll partner with and influence collaborators across our Employee Success (ES) function to enable deep understanding of employee experience — and to steer changes where needed. You’ll leverage best-in-class technology to assess sentiment among employees and prompt changes where needed. The ideal candidate will have experience organizing and delivering real-time, holistic, actionable employee listening programs at-scale. We are moving beyond traditional surveys at Salesforce and are looking for candidates ready to dive intopassive/ambient/unstructureddatasets, automated pulsing, nudge systems, and agent-first (vs. dashboard-first) user experiences.Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development & Execution: Contribute to the vision, strategy, and roadmap for employee listening, ensuring alignment with business and ES priorities.
- Program Design & Delivery: Execute on a holistic set of employee listening programs - ensuring high-quality, on-time, and well-coordinated execution.
- Data Analysis, Storytelling & Change Leadership: Produce high-complexity analyses, research studies, and frameworks - translating findings into compelling narratives and clear recommendations that steer action and influence leadership decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure alignment with HR colleagues, business leaders, communications partners, and our technology teams to integrate employee insights into broader organizational strategies.
- Enablement & Capability Building: Provide support to HR business partners, people leaders, and employees about effectively interpreting and acting on listening insights. Produce toolkits, training, and self-service analytics to drive data fluency and impact.
- Innovation & Industry Expertise: Maintain strong technical knowledge in employee listening, people analytics, and organizational research trends — highlighting innovative approaches, next practices, and competitive advantage to Salesforce.
- Team Development: Lead project teams and mentor junior team members, driving a high-performing and innovative culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s preferred) in a field emphasizing people research in organizations, such asIndustrial/OrganizationalPsychology, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, or Organizational Development.
- Experience: 7+ years leading large-scale employee listening programs at a global organization, with demonstrated expertise in survey design, analytics, and translating insights into action.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), survey platforms (e.g. Perceptyx), and statistical analysis techniques (e.g. structural equation modeling, large language models for sentiment/open text analysis). Experience analyzing and delivering insights at-scale with unstructured data streams is required.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives and to influence stakeholders at all levels.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $253,000. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $253,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
