The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is seeking aSenior Capacity Plannerfor our Datacenter (DC). This role in the Capacity planning group supports our rapidly scaling global data center infrastructure supply, which supports the full spectrum of Microsoft products and services. This role sits at the nexus of multiple teams and is the catalyst for building the right DC supply,existing supply for the future balance of cost, technologicaland available infrastructure.

Center Supply Strategywho is.be responsible fordeveloping critical plans, gaining stakeholder and leadership alignment to addressaging DC infra.They willbe responsible forimplementing a holistic End-of-Life Decommissioning program from principleto execution hand-off.

Senior Capacity Planneropportunities to explore and address business questions across multiple areas.

The role also requiresin supply strategy, total cost to serve (TCO), Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), statistical inventory management methods, advanced planning systems and methodologies, and IT infrastructure concepts.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, Finance, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing large scale programs
  • Advanced excels skills and proficiency in scenario analysis and modeling

    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Data Center
  • Experience working with Cloud platforms

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop critical principles to supportnew technologytransitions,exit strategy
  • Prepare, present, and discuss data centercapacitydesignstrategieswith senior leadership relating to cost, lead time, risk, and technical/operational constraints.
  • Develop execution plans and programmatically deliver across a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Work across a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure we collaboratively improve, adapt, and adopt our processes and supporting software systems to support rapidly changing business requirements.
  • , evaluate, and implement data center supply planning improvements drawing on statistical methods,supply chain management principles and S&OP best practices.
