What You’ll Do- Lead Uber’s global two-wheeled road safety strategy, ensuring alignment with company-wide safety goals.
- Define and track key performance metrics (OKRs) to measure program effectiveness and drive accountability.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment across Product, Data Science, Legal, Operations, and Safety teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights on industry best practices and safety risks for two-wheeled vehicles.
- Develop and enforce global road safety policies, setting minimum safety standards and creating educational resources.
- Analyze safety incident trends, using data-driven insights to inform risk mitigation strategies and product safety measures.
- Support regional safety teams, ensuring consistency in implementation and addressing localized safety challenges.
- Advocate for road safety initiatives, influencing internal and external stakeholders to prioritize safety in Uber’s business operations.
Basic Qualifications- Immediate availability to live in São Paulo
- English proficiency
- 8+ years of experience in safety management, risk management or similar areas
- Strong program and project management skills, with experience in setting and tracking OKRs/KPIs.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across global, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with experience analyzing incident trends and evaluating risk mitigation effectiveness.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to optimize processes and frameworks in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in road safety risk management, with expertise in two-wheeled vehicles being a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools to assess safety risks and measure program impact.
- Experience in global organizations or leading international safety programs.
- MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
