Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a people manager and project management including scheduling and work estimation
• 3+ years' experience working on commercial software development
• 3+ years of experience in Software design, coding, debugging and problem solving skills

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience working on computer security
• Knowledge of computer architecture and operating systems
• Knowledge of building and maintaining mission critical online services including Kubernetes
• Experience in developing & creating platforms
• Experience with ship cycles for commercial products
• Ability to convey complex concepts effectively

As a Prinicpal Software Engineering Lead, you will be leading and providing technical direction for the design and development of features, experiences & solutions for end-to-end scenarios over the full stack.

• Demonstrated proficiency in security with building a world-class user experience
• Partner closely with product management and security experts to drive features with an obsession towards security, user experience and product growth.
• Design large scale distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, peer leads, team members, customers, and other dependent engineering teams to solve complex problems for building a scalable service.
• Accountable for the quality, usability & performance of customer focused features and partner facing cloud platform.
• Address systemic live-site (production) issues to ensure proper availability of our solution.
• Design data pipelines and leverage data to guide analysis and decision making.
• Mentor team members to help realize their full potential.
