TheTo be successful in this role, the intern must have a basic understanding of compensation and benefits fundamentals, including pay structures, benchmarking, market pricing, and benefits offerings. This role is not just about working with data—it also requires strong communication andrelationship-buildingRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support compensation benchmarking & market insights by tracking survey deadlines, coordinating with Total Rewards stakeholders, and gathering data to shape pay strategies.

  • Manage survey participation by understanding data requests, formatting information, ensuring accuracy, and keeping our survey tracker up to date.

  • Work hands-on with BetterComp , our compensation benchmarking software, by loading surveys, managing company data, configuring annual settings, and supporting the 2025 plan.

  • Analyze compensation and benefits data from surveys to identify market trends and provide insights that influence Total Rewards strategy.

  • Turn data into actionable insights by creating reports, charts, and presentations that summarize findings for key stakeholders.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and summarizing market data to help Salesforce remain competitive.

  • Ensure organization and efficiency by maintaining accurate documentation, keeping benchmarking data up to date, and improving internal processes.

  • Gain real-world experience in compensation strategy by supporting ad-hoc analyses, business initiatives, and compliance efforts within the Total Rewards team.

  • Learn from a world-class Total Rewards team while ensuring our compensation and benefits practices stay compliant with policies and regulations.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate program with a focus on human resources, finance, or related field (2026 Spring Grad)

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.

  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including experience building analyses and models.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized.

  • Ability to communicate findings clearly in reports and presentations.

  • Eagerness to learn about compensation, benefits, and HR analytics.


  • Previous internship or work experience in HR, finance, or related field isa plus

  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plus.

  • Previous coursework or projects involving data analysis or market research.

  • Interest in compensation trends and HR decision-making.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $29 to $29. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $29 to $29. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
