Job responsibilities
- Manages technical areas within infrastructure engineering, collaborates with others across different technical areas, and anticipates the needs of multiple disciplines within the function
- Manages and implements corporate and divisional operational plans and provides broad direction to teams, team leads, and supervisors
- Manages key senior stakeholders and ensures teams deliver in accordance with compliance standards, risk and security, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Conducts market research and tracks industry developments with regards to productivity, collaboration, data, AI/ML solutions and understands implications to product vision and strategy. Partners with product counterpart on the product's definition, product roadmap & customer facing SLOs/SLAs. Prioritizes the product backlog & maintains a vision for the product
- Develops and executes the function’s objectives with accountability for outcomes.
- Handles for staffing, budget, and relevant profit and loss
- Mentors and coaches junior engineers and technologists
- Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Experience managing infrastructure engineering teams. Strong engineering experience designing and deploying trader voice solutions across a global estate
- Demonstrated success in an engineering management role with an emphasis on delivering trader voice solutions to end users
- Deep understanding of the trader voice product lifecycle, including product strategy development, customer engagement, architecture design, engineering, implementation, and operations
- Extensive knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Strong understanding of product, software and engineering methodologies and practices (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
- Knowledge of infrastructure engineering technologies and programming languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Exposure to managing budgets

- Experience writing technical stories in JIRA/confluence using industry standard notations
