Description
In this role, you will work on algorithms to improve speech and audio performance in our products. You will work closely with Acoustics, HW, EE, and QA teams to develop and evaluate new solutions into our products. For conducting audio/speech/speaker/sensors research and development for headsets & headphones, you will create algorithms in Matlab/C/C++/Python and conduct speech and audio evaluations and validations.
Key Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Experience in developing innovative DSP algorithms and ML models for speech and audio processing, microphones, accelerometers, speakers, and adaptive filtering.
  • Proven experience in DSP algorithm development
  • Solid Experience in C/C++
  • Experience in Matlab, Python, PyTorch
  • Excellent DSP knowledge
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and help
Education & Experience
Masters in Computer Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Additional Requirements
  • Speech enhancement using ML techniques is a plus.
  • Good understanding of beamforming, source separation, and speaker separation is also a plus.
  • Experience in speech quality evaluations and speech recognition evaluations is also a plus.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
