As a Litigation Attorney here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice and support in the areas of litigation, claims, and alternative dispute resolution. You will be responsible for managing and resolving legal disputes and litigation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and protecting the company's interests. Your expertise in corporate law and litigation will be instrumental in driving successful outcomes for Honeywell.
You will have the opportunity to work in our Litigation Center of Excellence (COE) located in Charlotte, NC. The Litigation COE is responsible for handling all global litigation and arbitration matters for Honeywell, including commercial product liability litigation.
You will report directly to our General Counsel, Global Litigation, and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC headquarters on a hybrid work schedule.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with ongoing and potential litigation, arbitration, investigations, and pre-litigation claims and disputes
- Preparation and implementation of legal holds, including identification of records and custodians
- Responding to third party subpoenas
- Fact research and development
- Drafting discovery responses
- Liaising with business witnesses
- Working with Honeywell’s insurers and adjusters regarding coverage issues and claims
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance in the area’s of litigation and risk avoidance
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks
YOU MUST HAVE
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- 5+ years experience practicing law
- Admitted to practice before a State Bar
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good time management skills
