The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a 3M|Grow Process and Project Leader you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Improve process and tools used in support of EMD new product development and achievement of FGI dates
  • Provide direct task-level guidance to NPI project team members on deliverables
  • Develop EMD leadership and process expertise with 3M|Grow
  • Perform pre-NPI gate review deliverable audits with project managers
  • Ensure 3M|Grow deliverables, scorecards and gate reviews are applied consistently across EMD’s five product portfolios.
  • Plan and facilitate monthly division NPI gate reviews
  • Aid in development and implementation of robust processes for executing emerging automotive electrification projects
  • Track Quality Management System (QMS) metrics and support ISO-9001 audits, as required (internal and external).
  • Support division plan to achieve IATF certification late in 2024 to advance its auto-e growth platform.
  • May lead cross-functional small to medium projects.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Eight (8) years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI),project leadership, and/or project management in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Familiar with 3M|Grow, experience completing NPI project deliverables
  • Demonstrated success in a project leadership role
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task due to job diversity
  • Experience with NPI processes or NPI projects that have a regulatory element to them
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP or other)
  • Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
