As our Americas Consulting Talent Leader you’ll embody a visionary approach and provide strategic leadership for people-centered initiatives. Serving as a strategic business partner and trusted consultant, you will work closely with senior business leaders, contribute robust insights, and guide them on critical people-focused matters. You’ll strategically partner with recruiting, workforce planning, compensation, promotion, learning and development processes to drive talent initiatives across Americas Consulting practice.As we are committed to fostering a culture of growth, opportunity, and respect, you’ll be responsible for promoting diversity, equity and inclusion throughout Americas Consulting practice.


Your key responsibilities

  • Translating business plans into strategic Human Resource (HR) initiatives through consultation and relationships with business leaders
  • Proactively providing counsel and guidance prior to business decisions being made. Establishing and leveraging relationships to achieve goals and results.
  • Responsible for hiring, managing and guiding own specific Talent Team staff members
  • Developing, managing and operating within approved budget
  • Handling/resolving the high risk, complex employee relations issues (including but not limited to terminations of senior employees/executives/directors)
  • Ensuring high quality execution of significant HR processes across all Consulting including but not limited to: compensation, performance management, career development, etc.
  • Initiating change management initiatives and leading constituents through significant change
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive diverse workforce plan that supports HR initiatives in alignment with business objectives
  • Advising on organizational restructuring, staffing, leadership assessments or other key HR business initiatives
  • Identifying and communicating HR priorities for Americas Consulting to Centers of Expertise (COE) and other ATT leaders to make certain projects and initiatives that come out of those groups are meeting the business needs
  • Advising and consulting with COE and other ATT teams and coordinates customization; collaborates with COEs on design and implementation

  • Persuasive communication skills, with the ability to build robust relationships with business leaders, HR teams, and employees across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to approach complex, high-risk employee relations issues with sensitivity, discretion, and fairness. Must be able to devise effective solutions to tackle HR challenges.
  • Experience in leading an organization through significant changes and a proven ability to manage and implement major change initiatives
  • Proficient in using data and analytics to derive insights and inform HR strategies
  • Proven ability to manage budgets effectively, being responsible for the financial performance of HR operations.

To qualify you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree and/ or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience within professional services or large complex matrix organization
  • Society for Human Resource Certification (SHRM) or Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certification (preferred not required)
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $291,400 to $577,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $349,700 to $655,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
