Your key responsibilities

• Preparation and follow-up of payments to suppliers and from customers in the Accounting System and reconciliation, review, and analysis of related accounts
• Assistance in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.
• Maintaining bank statements and reconciliations
• Assist with tax preparations
• Proceed with month-end and year-end close process of related accounts
• Monitor expenses charged to the business unit, to confirm that postings are accurate, and establish who owns the charge. Work with internal and external Ernst & Young personnel to verify information
• Assist Chief Accountant during internal and external audits
• Work under the supervision of Chief Accountant

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 2+ years’ work experience
• Proficiency with computers and financial software package including 1C, working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Strong research, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks
• Good knowledge of Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages both written and oral
• Good knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
• Stay updated with tax laws and regulations
