What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage CFM development activities per JE procedures
• Define technical aspects of RFQs and clarify customer requirements
• Maintain detailed records of requirements and changes
• Build strong technical relationships with customer counterparts
• Support customer PDTs, document reviews, and build events
• Provide internal support for non-development engineering tasks
• Coordinate with production plants during development
• Support JE’s SSKU strategy for new products

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering

• Ability to work for any employer in United States without current or future visa sponsorship
• At least 3 years' experience with cooling fan modules and design, as well as electronics and brushless motors
• Experience working with OEM directly as a Tier 1 customer level interface with a strong understanding of OEM deliverables and program milestones, reading specifications and understanding requirements of OEMs.

• Experience with plastic injection design optimization
• Experience with FEA analysis at a high level, i.e., constraints, outputs, methodologies to improve results, etc.
• Ability to plan and solve complex technical problems
• Experience with Red X or Six Sigma methods preferred
• Eagerness to learn and a positive, adaptable attitude with job flexibility to take on various tasks to keep things moving


Bonus Points If You Have:

• Green or Black Belt certification in quality methods

• Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools (Catia, NX preferred)
• Experience supporting global engineering teams
• Proven success in customer-facing technical roles

Required for customer visits and issue containment

As our next, you will serve as the primary point of contact between Johnson Electric and its customers for quality-related issues. You’ll lead root cause analysis, manage non-conformance issues, and coordinate containment activities to ensure customer satisfaction and protect JE’s reputation and operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage customer complaints, warranty trends, and PPM metrics
• Lead 8D investigations and root cause analysis for non-conformance issues
• Coordinate PPAP management and continuous improvement actions
• Analyze customer returns and assess risk during warranty situations
• Conduct quality meetings and customer visits (main customer: Stellantis)
• Manage sorting companies and containment activities
• Prepare and present reports, slides, and 8Ds to customers and internal teams
• Submit monthly Cognos reports and review customer debit impacts
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures
• Respond to urgent customer issues with short notice and remote support
• Collaborate with JE manufacturing sites and global quality teams

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance and manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of 8D reporting, quality tools, and PPAP
• Experience working with external customers and managing complaints
• Familiarity with motors, actuators, and pumps
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage urgent issues remotely
• Advanced proficiency in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Bonus Points If You Have:

• Master’s degree or professional certifications in quality or engineering
• Experience with global customer accounts and intercontinental coordination

As our next Field Quality Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing internal processes and systems to monitor and improve our production performance, with the goal of achieving Zero Defects and World Class Status. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Monitor customer key measurables to achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Work with the APQP team on new product development.

  • Support QE requirements for PPAP submissions and annual validation to the customer.

  • Work with management to establish performance expectations for all our manufacturing processes and monitor those expectations for improvement.

  • Ensure quality problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner without recurrence, being an expert in problem-solving techniques (customer/internal issues and internal PPM).

  • Serve as the initial point of contact between the customer and JE, lead and champion root cause analysis.

  • Manage product launches for new programs, changes (internal and external).

  • Develop and monitor quality control and inspection methods.

  • Monitor and address any Layered Audit Findings, complete Layered Audits and Internal Audits on schedule.

  • Maintain key process documentation like Control Plan, PFMEA, Inspection Checklist, Internal PPM Gap Closure, CRRN's, Customer Issue QPR Log, etc.

  • Ensure all reporting is on time. Ensure internal NMR's are responded to effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Provide daily updates at morning walkabout meetings concerning product and process concerns and continual improvements.

  • Work with Process and Product Engineering to resolve customer and internally identified problems.

  • Determine use, scrap, or rework decisions to minimize customer risk.

  • Be capable of determining a course of action that best protects the customer while also providing value for our company.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 3-5+ years of direct work experience in the quality field for a global company excluding intern and coop experience.

  • Knowledge and experience in motors i.e. A/C, D/C, actuators.

  • Knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing facility.

  • Knowledge and experience of working with external customers, preferably automotive customers, is a MUST.

  • Warranty Management experience is a MUST.

  • Experience in working with contractors.

  • Knowledge/experience in managing warranty returns.

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive methodologies, including SPC, APQP, PFEMA development, Control Plans, PPAPs, Process Flow, AIAG requirements, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Experience with quality tools, including Fish Bone diagram, Pareto Charting, inspection tools, 5 Why, Is/Is Not, and other structured problem-solving methods.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a problem-solving team to meet group objectives.

  • Thorough knowledge of modern office equipment with a special emphasis on Excel, MSWord, Minitab, and other software.

  • Ability to work in U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Ability to travel 10% in Canada, U.S. North America, mainly Mexico.
