• Coordinate calibration activities, working with outside vendor to ensure that all test and measurement equipment is calibrated prior to use on the manufacturing floor
• Provide mechanical measurement support to identify or solve potential material issues

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Quality Control environment
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 or TS16924 a plus
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings
• Versed on Microsoft office
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years' experience with desktop (Windows, macOS, & Linux), infrastructure, network, and software support
• Support experience with IPSec, SD-WAN, fiber, coaxial, and Cellular modem networks with the ability to log level 1 technical support tickets with service providers
• Excellent understanding of networking components and technologies, including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, OSI model
• Experience with Active Directory, JAMF, SCCM, Azure and Windows server environments
• Experience in supporting Apple and Android mobile devices along with Intune MDM
• PowerShell or Python experience is a plus

As a Tesla Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Equipment Maintenance is also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production running. This is a physically demanding job working in tight spaces, requiring walking and standing all day, as well as, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and lying on the ground intermittently throughout the day. In addition, the technician may wear a fall protection harness while working from heights or from a suspended position. Maintenance Technicians will lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize other hand tools and power tools as needed.

• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipment
• Perform repairs on production-down equipment
• Operate and repair every cell on a Line
• Perform Corrective Maintenance (repairs) on more than one of these types of equipment: electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase, mechanical systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and networks, robotics
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms

• Five (5) or more years of experience working in a maintenance capacity on production manufacturing equipment and/or have equivalent training or relevant education preferred
• Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly drawings and accurately measure and inspect tolerances
• Solid electrical knowledge (has a thorough understanding of electrical requirements and hazards)
• Advanced skills with volt meter to check AC/DC voltage, able to diagnose issues, able to use a schematic diagram to troubleshoot electrical systems
• Proficient with pneumatics-solenoid valves, actuator and control operations and can read schematics
• Ability to analyse problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions

• Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve process Cpk and product yield, reducing scrap, and supporting Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives
• Work with Engineering on production line improvement projects and ensure manufacturing instructions are always available and current
• Sending reports to summarize and analyze yield, the results of root cause analysis investigations to a wide audience of stakeholders
• Manage projects potentially involving multiple departments and/or outside vendors
• Disposition, repair, or rework, all non-conforming materials that are produced by the manufacturing line
• Day to day coverage of production line process, including rapid response on out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity

• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
• Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
• Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc)
• Skilled with common workplace web applications (Confluence, Sharepoint, Jira, etc)
• Skilled with the use of a variety of hand and power tools

• Perform a wide variety of tests on a broad spectrum of materials: mechanical and fastener testing, environmental testing, material characterization, and sample fabrication
• Conduct testing in an extremely fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Interface with a broad spectrum of internal customers to coordinate sample preparation, test updates and observations
• Independently complete materials tests and generate reports or summaries of findings
• Management of laboratory assets, ensuring all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and serviced
• Develop, author, and ensure conformance to laboratory standard operating procedures
• Support engineering staff in the root cause analysis of test failures and development of new test methods
• Support management in the procurement, purchase, and installation of new equipment

• Practical knowledge and working experience within a materials test lab or similar, including basic understanding of diverse types of materials
• Experience operating and maintaining materials test equipment and/or environmental chambers is preferred. Experience working with hand tools, sample preparation equipment and CAD software is a plus
• Familiarity with materials-centric test standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, SAE)
• Experience working with hazardous materials, with a willingness to exhibit and promote health and safety across the team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships
• An ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and manage time independently; must maintain top level professional integrity and appearance throughout
