Job Description

The Supplier Account Manager is accountable to initiate, develop and implement effective Supplier Performance and Relationship management programs to ensure performance (productivity, quality, sustainability and delivery), growth and innovation, while effectively managing risk and spend.

Your role:

  • Understands the full business relationship with each of the assigned suppliers, its position in the market relative to others, including strengths, weaknesses, strategic direction, investment plans, cost competitiveness, capabilities and capacity including relevant knowledge on products.
  • Manages supplier performance to meet annual operating targets
  • Develops, maintains and executes Supplier account strategies for the assigned supplier portfolio clearly defining areas of improvement (cost, delivery, quality, responsiveness, innovation) as well as relevant future business opportunities
  • Relentlessly drives impact to the bottom and top line through Supplier Performance Development and innovative Negotiation approach.
  • Drive compliance, contract and risk management

You're the right fit if have:

  • Bachelors or Master degree (Business Administration and/or Engineering)
  • 1+ years of strategic buyer and or Site Project Procurement manager and/or Business Process Engineer
  • A track record in strategic procurement, driving innovative supplier relationship management. Technical affinity or background very helpful
  • Broad experience with electro-mechanical and electronic components categories (cables, batteries, power supplies, Asics, PCB, passive and similar) preferred. Medical industry experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .

About the Organization

, MRI, X‐rays, cardiovascular system, nuclear medicine, PET‐CT, ultrasound, Patient monitoring systems, critical care and Healthcare informatics space.

Responsibilities: -

  • The FSE would ensure full compliance of Service Delivery Processes and deliver services both effectively and efficiently.

  • FSE would participate in Corrective Maintenance and would also maintain and complete the PM Schedules within the stipulated time frame for his designated area.

  • The FSE would implement FCOs of the respective modalities and must act as a support resource to other FSEs for their implementation

  • The FSE would report all necessary information both technical and administration [Call Completion, Call Reporting, PM, FCO, Installations] as per the norms to the concerned Modality Leader and Territory Manager.

  • Installation and Implementation of the respective system would be the prime responsibility of the Field Service Engineer.

  • The position of the FSE would entail Commissioning and Handing-over of the respective systems projects.

  • The FSE would coordinate the process of Spare parts Sales with the Customer assisting the Territory manager, Operations manager and CS Sales Support.

  • Identifying opportunities for System Upgrades and promoting the same to the Customer would also fall within the job’s purview (senior FSE)

  • The FSE would be responsible for proper handling of parts/ Test & Measuring Instruments to ensure the return of all parts with proper documentation.

  • The FSE will close calls in time with proper bookings of expenses and man hours in system.

  • The FSE must adapt and identify himself as a back up to the Territory Manager of the respective territory (senior FSE)

  • The FSE would also Manage Strategic Key Accounts and other Customers for the respective Territory and modality in order to ensure Customer Satisfaction.

  • The FSE would also be responsible for the timely escalation of certain issues to the concerned FSE, TM and Technical team and work as a team to provide appropriate solutions.

  • FSE needs to raise timely escalation in SMAX. On case to case base needs to ensure timely creation of CFMS.

  • He / She would track & identify generic product quality, site related issues and bring to the notice of the higher management the Field Problems as and when they occur through Field Problem Reports / CFMS.

  • The FSE must take care of assigned customer accounts for all customer service-related activities.

  • He / She would also Manage the Key Accounts for the respective modality to ensure Customer Satisfaction.

  • He/She would be responsible for maintaining uptime records for assigned accounts. Ensuring personal acceptability by the customer in appearance and behavior in accordance with Philips Health Systems policy and targets.

  • To conform with Philips Health System safety standards including Patient safety, health, safety and security regulations and strict adherence to General Business Principals.

You are responsible for

  • Define and implementing the service & solution delivery innovation roadmap (3-5 year scope), which is part of the overall business roadmap. This also includes translation of new services (professional services, education, solution delivery &/or support) offerings into new product release specific service requirements.
  • Organizes the input gathering from the different internal and external stakeholders (marketing, development, operations as well as the sales regions, key markets and service & solution delivery teams) and realize an alignment between the different parties in order to create a roadmap that is recognized as the right solution to realize long-term targets.
  • May be responsible for oversight and execution of the design & development of internal employee learning programs for new developed products, services, software and/or solutions as well as new competency development of service staff, including new hires and change in service strategic direction.
  • May be required to realize the required serviceability level of the new developed products.
  • Manage service & solution delivery innovation function(s) on resource management and development as well as processes to realize above mentioned responsibilities in an efficient / effective way and to secure compliance with applicable regulations (eg FDA).
  • Contribute as member of the BG and Services & Solution Delivery management teams to the definition and execution of the strategy and objectives of the department that are aligned with the BU strategic goals.
  • Translate objectives into clear actions/projects for service & solution delivery innovation and deploys these actions in such a way to the employees that they take ownership and accountability of these activities.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with > 13 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with < 10 years of related experience
  • Strong technical background will be preferred
  • Project management skills will be required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills required & lean thinker would be preferred.
  • Good communication with excellent team work & stake holder management is required.
  • Experience within a regulated industry required (medical devices desirable, along with knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO 13485)
  • Ability to innovate cost-saving ideas preferred & continuous improvement is required
  • Computer-literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
