The annual base salary range for this position is $114,000-$136,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. • Provide polymer recycling and gas recovery expertise to lead research in improving foam and aerosol product manufacturing sustainability and end-of-life outcomes
• Identify technology opportunities in different foam and aerosol applications and initiate projects for business growth by working closely with the commercial team
• Contribute to development of foam and aerosol innovation and breakthrough technology pipelines
• Generate new technology and ideas leading to intellectual property including patents
• Willingness to travel (10%) to accomplish these responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 5+ years technical experience in foam, polymer, or aerosol recycling
• An engineering degree in Materials or Chemistry

• Experience within an R&D setting
• Experience handling and evaluating raw materials for foam applications as well as final products
• Experience developing materials intended for circularity, recycling and/or biodegradation at end of life

Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of an engineer, the research refrigerants lab technician is expected to prepare and
test commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and
components.
Recommends and develops variations in problem-solving approaches. Plans some project
activities and design laboratory experiments.
Carries out laboratory procedures and collects, compiles, and interprets data.
Responsible for safe and efficient equipment ordering, set-up, modification, and maintenance
which may include some instructing and training of others.
Building and installation of test systems,
Setup of instrumentation.
Replacement of components.
Wiring of test unit.
Application of both mechanical and electronic controls.
Leak detection and repair.
Evacuation and charging.
Running tests at conditions supplied by the engineer, monitoring tests, and operating the data
acquisition system(s).
Handles laboratory tasks including complicated methods procedures with limited supervision and
direction.
Uses basic scientific methods and tools with limited supervision to carry out assignments, and
takes initiative to troubleshoot and recommend solutions to various experimental problems that
may arise in the course of their work.
Makes recommendations for new experiments based on analysis and experience.

• Work in a team of synthetic chemists to generate novel molecules and/or compositions for new applications.
• Design, plan, and execute synthetic routes for the proposed novel molecules.
