About the Lead Financial Planning and Analyst (FP&A)
Sales Commission Management:
Own the quarterly and annual sales commission planning process including design, modeling, budgeting, and alignment with Sales leadership.
Partner with HR and Business Ops to ensure alignment between commission plans, territories, and business goals.
Provide quarterly accruals, actuals analysis, and reporting to Finance and Sales leadership.
Ensure timely and accurate commission payouts by working closely with Payroll and ensuring strong internal controls.
Business Unit Support – Sales & Marketing:
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations leaders to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning models (OpEx focus).
Conduct monthly variance analysis, deliver insights into business performance, and recommend actionable strategies to improve results.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), marketing ROI, sales productivity, and customer acquisition metrics.
Support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and market expansion planning with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Reporting & Systems:
Develop and enhance financial dashboards and management reporting tools using Excel, Tableau, Commission software or similar platforms.
Maintain and improve FP&A tools and templates to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in planning and reporting processes.
Support system implementations or enhancements related to planning, budgeting, and commissions (e.g., Oracle, Adaptive Insights).
About you as the About the Lead Financial Planning and Analyst (FP&A)
5 years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a global or multi-business unit environment.
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with minimal requirement of oversight.
Experience supporting Sales and/or Marketing functions; understanding of SaaS or subscription business models is a plus.
Strong experience with commission planning and administration (e.g. SPIFF, Performio).
Demonstrated ability to influence non-financial stakeholders with data-driven insights.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Smart View).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
