Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support program management for regulatory relations processes, including the global regulatory inquiry response and examination / inspection processes and regulatory engagement strategy plan development
  • Maintain best practices for supporting global regulatory examination / inspection management, including liaising with internal stakeholders and regulators through all phases of the process
  • Assist in developing and managing global licensing strategies
  • Conduct oversight of global licensing and reporting execution activities
  • Serve as a credible business partner across functional units, providing advice and support as needed
  • Draft and oversee development of responses to regulatory inquiries
  • Engage critical stakeholders in problem solving issues with regulatory impact
  • Draft committee and other governance materials related to regulatory engagement, as appropriate
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Job requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Solid critical and analytical thinking, decision making and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven track record of effective communication with regulatory agencies.
  • Proven ability to interact well with internal management and external contacts, including regulators.
  • Strong ability to source, manage and analyze data.
  • Ability to credibly challenge solutions and ensure timely escalation of issues and concerns as and when appropriate.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates strong project management skills, including leadership and consensus building.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Adaptable in unexpected situations, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Knowledge of the financial services compliance and / or regulatory environment is required
  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required with significant years of experience.
  • Compliance experience in the financial services industry, with regulatory relations, financial services licensing and reporting experience, and/or regulatory examination / inspection management experience preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent English required (verbal and written).
  • Fluency in other languages, particularly French and/or German, is a plus.
