These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities/essential functions include:
- Total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
- Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to customers. Maintain communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
- Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
- Can identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account team in his/her geographic area
- Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area
- Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time.
- Ensures timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs
- Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes
- Cooperate with the internal stakeholders and interlocutors
- Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement

- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering or similar field, or High specialization technical Diploma and a relevant experience on the field and with the customers
- Significant years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities, extensive knowledge and experience of MI machineries in particular
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly
- Expert in interacting with the Customer, drive positive relationships, ensure satisfaction
- Based in Toscana
- Fluent in Italian and English

- Ability to show self-initiative & motivation and to work independently with minimum direction
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
- Change agent and process oriented
- IT & connectivity skills
