What a typical day looks like:

  • Consult with departments on equipment design and safety programs

  • Review plans for new machinery to ensure safety precautions are included

  • Inspect plant for hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations

  • Define safety requirements and install safety devices on machinery

  • Conduct safety training for workers

  • Investigate and report industrial accidents

  • Test air quality for harmful substances

  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions

  • Provide internal consultation on various safety matters

  • Audit business units

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and engineers

  • Compile and submit safety reports.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences OR equivalent experience OR NEBOSH level 5 certification

  • 1-2 years’ experience in EHS is a plus but we welcome candidates starting their career

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to organise own workload and use initiative

  • Possess a driving licence and have willingness to travel between sites in Dundalk

  • Eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
