As a Sr Tax Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a vitalrole in assisting our tax department in managing tax compliance and reportingactivities. Your expertise in tax thoughtfulness and research will be crucialin ensuring accurate and timely tax filings while maximizing tax benefits forthe company. You will report directly to our Tax Director.

This role will belocated in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you willimpact the company's financial success by assisting in preparing tax returns,tax provision workpapers and conducting tax research. You will work closelywith cross-functional teams, including finance and external tax advisors, toensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Your attention to detail andthoughtful skills will be essential in identifying tax-saving opportunities andmitigating tax risks.

This role will also drive tax compliance and reportingthrough process improvement and automation. The role will partner on taxexaminations by developing defense strategies and maximizing tax savingopportunities. This role will contribute to shareholder value while fulfillingtax compliance and reporting obligations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Conduct tax research to stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations.

• Support tax planning initiatives and provide recommendations for tax-efficient strategies.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors to address specific tax issues.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to income tax.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Tax return compliance and preparation of Federal and State corporate income tax returns
  • Preparation of the working papers used to support the tax provision and tax filings
  • Identify, research and evaluate alternative tax positions to determine and implement a supportable, cost-effective filing position for the tax return filings.
  • Manage the timely and efficient administration of information assimilation and reporting through the review of processes and implementation of procedures that improve speed and efficiency of administration
  • Monitor industry positions and legislative activities meaningful to Honeywell’s business operations, model scenarios to assess future impacts.
  • Preparation and review of annual tax provision and tax provision to return reconciliations to be recorded and submitted for global consolidation. Collaborating efforts between outside tax return service providers and the internal finance organization

WE VALUE

  • 3+ years Big Four Tax and/or Corporate Tax experience, with time spent on large US multi-national companies
  • Technical knowledge of US Federal and State tax laws & regulations, including US international provisions like Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, FTC and BEAT
  • Experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Corptax, Alteryx and advance excel capabilities
