Director, Connected eXperience Center (CxC) – Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Role and Responsibilities
This role demands a high-energy and innovative professional with extensive experience establishing a best-in-class team leverage cutting edge insights to expand the U.S. consumer base of the SmartThings platform. From working with a team designing different creative lifestyle scenarios to ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for our customers. The lead will also leverage lifestyle-oriented research and user studies to gather insights about specific customer segments and design compelling use cases that people could use every day.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with SmartThings, product development, marketing, and design teams across all lines of businesses to ensure a unified approach to connected experiences. Foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to drive integration and innovation.
- eXperience Innovation:Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new connected experiences that enhance user engagement and satisfaction. Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and business objectives. Develop solutions that are executed in digital and live locations, such as in retail.
- User-Centric Design:Champion a user-first approach in all projects, leveraging insights from consumer research and data analytics to inform decision-making. Ensure that connected experiences are intuitive, accessible, and deliver value across diverse user segments.
- Performance Management:Set clear goals and KPIs for the Connected eXperience Center, monitoring progress and driving continuous improvement. Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Market Leadership:Position Samsung as a leader in connected experiences by delivering differentiated solutions that set industry standards. Collaborate with external partners and ecosystems to expand Samsung’s reach and influence in the connected space.
- Acts as an Ambassador for SmartThings to explain our ecosystem in a succinct, approachable and compelling manner and operates as SmartThings subject matter expert to internal leaders, partners/retailers, and other key stakeholders
- Partners with Corporate Marketing events teams to ensure internal showrooms, event booths, and event activations are properly supported to showcase Samsung connectivity features
- Works closely with SEA retail teams to provide connected scenario implementation support at prioritized retail channels
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Information Technology or Design related field with 10-15+ years of experience in smart home setup, technical support or IoT system integration
- Hands-on experience in setting up smart devices for live events or retail environments
- Proven leadership experience in a senior executive role within technology or consumer electronics.
- Strong understanding of IoT, connectivity technologies, and user experience design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and deliver results in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term growth and market leadership.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to simplify complex technology for diverse audiences and high-profile individuals
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic situations
The salary range for this role, for candidates based in New Jersey is expected to be between $200,000 and $221,000 plus additional bonus. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
