Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring Center Medical Responsibilities include:
  • Provides day-to-day medical support of the monitoring center technicians in a fast-paced environment that requires critical thinking and fast and sound decision making
  • Responsible for monitoring center event escalation and review within the Patient Safety Team and ensuring timeliness and sense of urgency depending on the event’s nature while in compliance with the protocols established by the relevant medical facility
  • Makes thoughtful, risk based, and timely decisions to ensure patient safety during the monitoring center operations
  • Applies medical experience, product knowledge, and critical thinking to support daily clinical responsibilities
  • Supports the Medical Directors and the Preventice training and Medical Safety teams in planning and delivering the appropriate training of monitoring center non-medical personnel
  • Always acts as the patient’s advocate

Medical Responsibilities:

  • Uses knowledge and experience of clinical medicine to understand and evaluate the interface of medical devices and services to patients and users
  • Performs medical review and assessment safety data, sources of which include but are not limited to clinical trials, complaints, and Medical Device Reports (MDRs)
  • Identifies potential safety signals for monitoring and trend analysis
  • Escalates potential patient safety issues for decision-making and/or potential action by senior leadership
  • Applies working knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (globally)


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare (i.e. RN, NP)
  • Healthcare Licensure/Certification
  • 6 years of clinical experience cardiology focus (i.e., Cath Lab, EP Lab, Cardiology Practice)
  • Recent clinical experience in cardiovascular patient care, including but not limited to advanced ECG rhythm interpretation, arrhythmia management, remote cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and implantable cardiac diagnostic devices (i.e., ILR)
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiac patient management, remote cardiac monitoring, telemetry, arrythmia management
  • Ability to be onsite in the Houston office

Preferred qualifications:

  • Related work experience in Cardiac Monitoring Centers, Medical Safety, Clinical Research, and/or Clinical Quality
  • Experience with safety monitoring in medical device industry
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with and communicating effectively across different functions
  • Master’s in healthcare/clinical research related field
