Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics and materials management to ensure timely delivery, with an emphasis on supporting and coaching the team for enhanced performance.
  • Lead Customer Service and Planning teams to improve service levels, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel.
  • Control procurement, inventory, and warehouse operations, aligned with production schedules while providing guidance on best practices.
  • Implement best practices in logistics and materials management using ERP systems, focusing on continual improvement and team development.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure operational efficiency and mentor team members for professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the operations team.

Description of Tasks

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operations strategies and plans that support long-term business needs and short-term expectations.
  • Define operational metrics and operating models for manufacturing functions consistent with lean operational practices, focusing on team empowerment.
  • Create and execute a long-term vision and strategic plan for the company's operations, clearly communicating the relationship with Tier 1 and OEM operations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of teams and tools that deliver superior operational results and a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Support the organization in recruiting, performance management, and succession planning processes, emphasizing team capabilities and leadership development.
  • Provide leadership for various strategic and tactical initiatives, ensuring teams are equipped to meet daily management targets and operate effectively in OEM contexts.
  • Develop skills and competencies within the team to prepare for internal and external company growth and expanded responsibilities.

Desirable Experience:

5+ years as a Logistic Tier 1 manager with experience managing operations related to OEMs.

  • Supply Chain & Logistics Management (JIT, JIS, lean logistics)
  • Team Leadership and Coaching
  • Production Planning & Control (scheduling, capacity planning)
  • Automotive & Manufacturing Knowledge (APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949)
  • Proficiency in ERP & MRP Systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Inventory & Warehouse Management (Kanban, FIFO/LIFO)
  • Lean & Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Understanding of EDI & Data Analytics
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance
