Your key responsibilities

As a(Senior) Consultant, you will work closely with clients to help them navigate complex new and existing regulations, ensuring compliance while driving business success. You will provide strategic legal advice, contribute to regulatory implementation projects, and collaborate with financial institutions' compliance and legal teams.

Your work will cover key regulatory topics such as:

• Financial Crime (AML, Sanctions, Market Abuse, Fraud)
• Banking & Capital Markets
• Payment Services (FinTech, PSD3, digital finance)
• Asset Management
• MiFID
• Insurance (IDD incl. Value for Money, DORA, FiDA)
• Compliance & Governance (Fit & Proper, Board effectiveness)
• Data Protection, Privacy & Emerging Technologies
• Sustainable Finance & ESG Compliance
• Corporate Law

Who You Will Be Working With

• You will join a larger cross-disciplinary team of legal and regulatory professionals who offer support to the Financial Services Industry, including banking, asset management, insurance, and payment services
• You will, in the context of broader projects,collaborate with experts across thedifferent areas of the Financial Services Industry value chain, such as risk management specialists, strategy consultants…
• You will collaborate with top-tier financial institutions(both on anad-hocbasis as on a loaning of staff basis)
• You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support more junior team members

ambitious and talented legal and regulatory (senior)consultants who accumulated a few years of relevant experience and are eager to (further) specialize in financial regulatory topics. • Belgian Master’s degree in Law
• 2 – 5 years of professional experience in a law firm, consultancy, public body or financial institution
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations(or a strong desire to learn). Ability to performin-depthandcreative analysisto be able to findpragmatic solutions for our client’s challenges.
• Excellent communication & relationship-building skills
• Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch and/or French,with an excellent knowledge of English
