Your key responsibilities
As a (Senior) Lending Transformation Consultant, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management, heads of departments, and employees, to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the transformation journey.
- Innovative Solutions Design:Work with cross-functional teams to design and propose innovative lending solutions that align with the bank's transformation goals.
- Workshops and Presentations:Lead workshops and presentations to communicate strategies, gain stakeholder buy-in, and facilitate the implementation of recommended changes.
- Process Analysis and Optimization:Conduct in-depth analysis of existing lending processes, banking systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Redesign and optimize lending processes to ensure they are streamlined, cost-effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Technology Integration:Work closely with technology teams to ensure the successful integration of digital tools and platforms into lending operations.
- Change Management:Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational structures.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensure that transformation initiatives align with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Project Management:Participate in or manage projects through their complete lifecycle, including monitoring planning, budgeting, and staffing of the team delivering the project.
- Knowledge Sharing:Share your knowledge and experience in your field of lending expertise and other various domains.
Skills and attributes for success
- Educational Background:Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., applied economics, finance, commercial engineering, mathematics) or equivalent through experience.
- Professional Experience:Proven track record, either in lending operations, including roles such as Loan Officer, Credit Analyst, or Underwriter or as a Consultant in lending transformation projects (2-4 years of professional expertise).
- Regulatory Knowledge:Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management in lending.
- Analytical Skills:Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex lending concepts into practical and pragmatic solutions.
- Client Management:Outstanding client stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships through solid communication and presentation skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Language Proficiency:Fluent in either or both Dutch and French, complemented by a profound knowledge of business English.
- Team Spirit:Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy.
- Certifications:Certifications such as PCP (Febelfin), Agile, Scrum, or other Project Management methodologies are a differentiator for more experienced candidates.
- Consultancy Experience:Prior experience in consultancy, process improvement, or banking transformation is a plus.
