Your Impact in Role:

As a Counsel at Uber focused on platform work, you will not be a traditional Employment Counsel nor a ‘support’ function, you will be at the heart of our business and operations, and work closely with highly skilled cross functional teams.

What You'll Do:

1 . Litigation Management and Resolution Strategy for Platform Work:

2 . The novelty of our model, its evolution and diversity trigger unprecedented complex litigations that you will be in charge of for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

3 . Legal Compliance and Strategic Advising:

4 . Stay abreast of evolving european and national laws and regulations related to platform work and misclassification, providing strategic guidance for compliance.

5 . Proactively assess potential legal risks specific to platform work and advise senior management on strategic decisions related to the status of platform workers.

6 . Policy Development and Product Counseling:

7 . Collaborate with all relevant functions to develop, review, and align policies with organizational goals and legal requirements, considering the unique aspects of platform work.

8 . Advise on emerging regulations specific to platform work and co define the roadmap in that context.

The Experience You’ll Bring:

1 . Experience in employment and labor law in Germany

2 . Expertise in labor investigations and litigations

3 . Fluent in German and English - French would be a plus

4 . Highly motivated, efficient, organized, and laser-focused on the details

5 . Able to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment

7 . Calm in deadline-driven situations; self-reliant and able to prioritize workload

8 . Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
