AWS Migrations and Modernizations Santa Clara team is looking for a software development engineer to help us define and build the future of cloud optimization for AWS customers. This team delivers high-performance applications and solutions for customers helping them modernize applications they run on AWS and achieve cost savings, security, scalability and resiliency . As a lead member of the team, you'll work alongside outstanding engineers and leaders, refine product requirements with product and program management, define architecture, and be a leader in the implementation and launch of new products.Utility Computing (UC)

- 5+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Exposure to web services or REST services, and web development

- Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills. Comfortable in fast-paced, start-up like development environments. Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills.
