Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of technical engineering experience; particularly with Heat Transfer and Fluids
- OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 7+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- 8 + years experience in industry performing a thermal engineering function
- 2+ experience leading a team of engineers, coordinating complex projects, and driving innovation in a collaborative environment
- Understanding of thermal/mechanical design principles and predictive analysis, material selection, manufacturing processes, and use of CAD and CFD software
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in server hardware development, data center infrastructure, or cloud computing
- Experience in systems level thermal design including thermal simulation
- Experience in cross-discipline design process from chip to the rack level
- Experience managing ODM engineering deliverables
- Knowledge of material science, design for manufacturing, and sustainable design
- Experience with prototyping, tooling design, and high volume manufacturing
