Provides operational support based on needs of the team or department and knowledge of technical area (e.g., processes, procedures, equipment, and tools). Manages and implements departmental policies and initiatives to meet operational goals, quality, and cost objectives. Manages plans based on project and resource requirements for assigned areas, and tracks metrics and budgets to support staffing, equipment, and other operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant operations experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant operations experience with 2+ of those years involving leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.

• 3+ years of relevant operations experience.

• 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

• 2+ years of experience in technology manufacturing or related industry.

• 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).

• 1+ year in a leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides operational support based on knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, tools, engineering/electronics principles.

• Executes departmental policies and initiatives to meet operational goals, quality, and cost objectives.

• Executes plans based on project and resource requirements for assigned areas. Develops and implements process improvements to increase efficiencies within one's own area.

• Assists in tracking metrics and small budgets to support staffing, equipment, and other operational needs. Escalates issues or deviations in metrics.

• Conducts analyses to identify where an issue has occurred and makes recommendations for how to address the issue.

• Gathers, integrates, and interprets information from a variety of sources in order to identify patterns/trends.

• Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work.

• Communicates with project lead to provide status and information about impending obstacles.

• Manages daily workload, individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Supports new product introductions, equipment efficiency and materials supply.

• Adapts to significant changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works under supervision.

• Provides supervision to direct reports.

• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.

• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).

• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
