Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Post Si HW Validation and Power-Thermal Engineer for Automotive Systems

Bangalore – India

Job Overview

You will be part of Automotive System Performance team that is responsible for analyzing and optimizing Power/Thermal performance on Snapdragon Automotive chipsets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting hardware validation, Voltage optimization and Thermal characterization on silicon for various System and IP cores (CPU, GPU, NSP, MM, Memory etc.)

  • Perform detailed analysis of operating Voltages for SoC Rails and optimize them using QCom IP core.

  • Perform Rail-wise Voltage analysis across Auto temp range and Split parts

  • Analyze Current, Voltage and overall, Power using Power Measurement tools for SoC IP cores using different workloads.

  • Detailed analysis of Platform Thermal using on-die and on-board thermal sensors and corelate them against the design estimates.

  • Analyze and optimize Platform Thermal using various Thermal mitigation knobs in SW and Thermal solution in HW.

  • Debug System level Power and Thermal issues which require a good understanding of SoC Architecture, Active/Idle system Power concepts, System Thermal with different HW/SW solutions etc.

  • Develop Automation framework for Voltage and Thermal tests using Python

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of industry experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computers or Electronics Engineering.

  • Experience working on any ARM/x86 based platforms, mobile/automotive operating systems and/or Power/Thermal measurement tools.

  • Good understanding of Computer Architecture and SoC Cores (CPU, GPU, NSP, Memory, etc.)

  • Experience in Python scripting to work on Automation of tests.

  • Must be quick learner and should be able to adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional skills in the following areas are preferred:

  • Ability to create professional quality reports and slides using MSOffice or any advanced visualization tools.

  • Candidates with Power and Performance experience is preferred.

  • Experience in PoC development and competitive analysis.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
