- You willwork closely with hardware and software engineering teams to take robot designin initial concept through prototype development and into full production
- Providemanufacturing insights during product definition to streamline design formanufacturing
- Drivethe development of manufacturing line from initial concept to full-scaleproduction
- Spearheadthe in-house development of innovative and intricate prototype manufacturingequipment in low volume line
- Formulateassembly sequences and define critical quality parameters for efficientproduction
- Partnerclosely with the technician team to swiftly implement design modifications onthe production line and expedite the robot’s assembly
- Lead internal/externalequipment suppliers to design production equipment in high volume line
- Identifyand troubleshoot a diverse range of challenging mechanical, electrical,software, control, data, and algorithmic issues
- Calculateequipment capacity and line balancing
- Mindsetto apply first principles for problem solving
- Proficiencyin CAD tools (Catia and AutoCAD preferred)
- Proficiencyin mechanical assembly (press fits, fastener selection, harness, etc)
- Proficiencyin electrical integration, quality matrix, testing and trouble shooting
- Familiarwith torque tools, automation equipment, control systems and communication protocol
- Experiencein transitioning products from prototype to production
- Able towork under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Exemplaryverbal and written communication skills
- Well-organizedwith meticulous attention to detail
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
