Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Principal Engineer – Platform Engineering (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a highly scalable CI/CD platform that serves tens of thousands of workloads a day.
  • Build CI/CD capabilities that caters to a variety of workloads including but not limited to various application deployments, infrastructure and database schema deployments.
  • Architect and integrate security tenants into CI/CD platform to ensure all risk, control and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
  • Integrate automated evidence generation into CI/CD platform to fulfill risk and control requirements.
  • Build orchestration engine that automates onboarding tasks for application team while also fulfilling risk and control requirements including but not limited to setup of entitlements, setup of git, artifact registry with right set of access policies, setup and configuration of security, vulnerability and code quality scanning.
  • Build and maintain platform service to setup and manage access policies of application related credentials
  • Working with the following: GIT, TFS, and Jenkins.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering and 6 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development experience.

Required Skills/Experience:


Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Using tools including GIT, TFS, and Jenkins for CI/CD. 2) Developing web services for communication between different web applications. 3) Maintaining and testing applications, including testing on Client/Server and Web based applications using manual and automated testing tools. 4) Creating jobs in CI/CD tools including Jenkins and analyzing the reports for success/failure. 5) Building secure, re-usable infrastructure components. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
