Your Role and Responsibilities
in NYC or Armonk, NY.You’ll be advising on issues at the crossroads of data protection and cutting-edge AI innovation and regulation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on data protection laws, AI regulations, and related compliance requirements,
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into product development, and
- Going beyond risk assessments to find ways to address issues in practical ways
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- J.D. (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one US state bar
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in privacy law
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- In depth experience with global privacy laws
- Experience with AI ethics and emerging AI regulation
- Experience with business practices and product counseling in the technology industry
- Ability to think strategically and practically, with excellent legal and business judgment
- Proactive mindset and experience prioritizing work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to convey complex legal concepts simply while identifying the key issues
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment
