How you’ll spend your day
  • Lead cross-functionally each forecasting cycle – long-range planning, annual operational planning, quarterly forecast updates, etc.
  • Establish efficient process to drive cross-functional, brand leadership, and senior leadership alignment on key assumptions for each forecasting cycle.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure evidence-based approach to key forecasting assumptions.
  • Drive efforts to bring appropriate analogues/historical knowledge to project impact of promotional efforts, market access changes, competitive events, scientific developments, regulatory evolution, etc.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks and communicate effectively across organization
  • Help establish culture of positive collaboration towards common vision and strong accountability.
  • Help shape innovation that will drive performance towards financial goals.
  • Develop models for sales trending, forecasting, business planning, and long-range planning.
  • Provide forecast outputs to Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Supply Planners for use in official financial forecasts, sales quotas and incentive comp, and supply plan forecasts.
  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process reviews.
  • Develop new forecasting tools and optimize existing models. Share and engage with all region’s best practices in Forecasting, tools, and technology.
  • Triangulate forecasting models based on alternative approaches including trends/events and bottom-up modelling.
  • Work cross-functionally to bring appropriate analogues/historical knowledge to project impact of promotional efforts, market access changes, competitive events, scientific developments, regulatory evolution, etc.
Your experience and qualifications


Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, analytics, economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree in analytics/statistics preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience. Inline/pipeline forecasting preferred. (Data Analytics, Consulting, Investment Banking, and Equity Research backgrounds also encouraged to apply).
  • Extensive experience leading planning cycles in commercial, forecasting, or analytical roles.
  • Proven ability to manage forecasting/analytics/planning for a portfolio of products.
  • Experience building effective complex cross-functional collaborations.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and help deliver on strong performance goals.

  • Strong technical skills to build forecasting tools, leverage secondary data and rollout to US Innovative Medicines team.
  • Industry knowledge, understanding of regulatory environment, and good grasp of access dynamics.
  • Has the intellectual curious and technical skills to go beyond the numbers
  • Demonstrated ability to process complex information and summarize it in writing and / or verbally; employs active listening skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 10-15% travel throughout the US, which may include weekend and overnight and periodic international travel.
