What the Candidate Will Do
- Manage directly 3 staff, with additional support from external consultants
- Take full ownership and responsibility for compliance in 15 countries in the LATAM region (not including Mexico or Brazil)
- Collaborate with our global compliance team and lead projects to ensure we automate processes and create best practice processes on an international level.
- You’ll be a strong team player who is able to work with people across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in financial reporting or local tax compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA/CA/ACCA/equivalent qualification
- A strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, principles across LATAM
- Strong team management experience
- Team player with the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate key information and status to stakeholders
- Ability to interact with all departments and levels throughout our organization
- Excellent project and time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Bonus Points
- Big 4 experience is a strong plus
- Experience with Oracle R12 or another large scale ERP is preferred
