What you’ll do

• : Lead and manage a team of Level 2 system administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

• System Administration: Oversee the administration of UNIX (e.g., Linux, Solaris) and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

• Incident and Problem Management: Manage and resolve escalated incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.

• Maintenance and Upgrades: Plan and oversee system maintenance activities, including patch management, software updates, and hardware upgrades.

• Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and maintain monitoring systems to track server performance, availability, and security; generate and review regular reports.

• Security Management: Ensure servers are secure and comply with organizational

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors, including support contracts and service agreements.

• Compliance: Ensure systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

What we’ll need from you

• : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in UNIX and Windows system administration.

• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in UNIX (Linux, Solaris) and Windows server environments.

• Experience with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).

• Understanding of network protocols, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

• Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
