Reporting to the Site Lead, you will have overall responsibility for the Engineering & Maintenance function, ensuring our plant meets customer service and financial goals. As a core member of the Site Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a key role in shaping the future of our site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance: Contribute to the success of the site as an active member of the Senior Management Team and the Global Engineering & Maintenance team. Ensure we have the skilled engineering resources needed to maximize equipment uptime and provide continuous technical support. Oversee plant shutdowns and startups, and manage engineering activities to meet compliance and output targets.
- Cost Management: Coordinate activities between Maintenance Engineering, Sterility Assurance, and Process Engineering to support cost-effective structures and procedures. Lead Energy Management on site.
- External Focus: Stay updated on global business and engineering trends, implementing best practices at our site. Manage third-party contractors to deliver excellent service.
- Team Development: Identify skills gaps and provide leadership and direction. Promote a culture of continuous learning and ensure compliance with technical, engineering, and regulatory standards. Supervise the team to optimize sterility assurance.
- Training: Lead, motivate, and develop the Engineering Functional Teams. Conduct technical root cause investigations and ensure company policies are implemented. Develop people, train technical skills, and apply best practices in maintenance methods.
- Compliance, EHS & Quality: Ensure systems, policies, and procedures are up to date and compliant with environmental, safety, health, and engineering standards. Maintain process validation documentation and ensure the plant remains in a validated state.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering or a related business discipline.
- At least 4 years of people management experience in a regulated industry.
- Understanding of Asset Management methodologies aligned to ISO 55000.
- At least 10 years of experience in development, maintenance, process, or validation in a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of documentation, standards, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in managing people.
- Knowledge of project management, validation, automation, maintenance systems, 6 sigma, lean methodology, cost centre management, and change management processes.
- Familiarity with site plant processes including Production, Packaging, Facilities, Utilities, Logistics, Finance, ESH, and Quality.
