Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Responsible for E2E managing of a project to develop a process, product, technology, system, solutions, or services: from Initiation to Closure:

  • Responsible for gaining agreements on and achieving project objectives, balancing schedule, cost, quality and requirements. Ensuring effective introduction of processes, products, technologies, systems, solution or services. Manages the scope and requirements. Manages the internal and external stakeholders. Manages the business case execution and is a business partner focused on maximization of the added value for the business. Manages projects ensuring execution is in line with project guidelines and directives. Determines project risks, defines corrective action and drives the projects to closure. Determines, allocates, and directs all project resources in accordance with guidelines.
  • Keeps abreast of developments in project management tools and processes (both internal and external). Ensures compliance to company standards / policies/ rules/ procedures

Key Responsibilities and General Accountabilities:

  • Apply standard E2E approach in the transformation projects, to ensure the plan realization
  • Formulates the E2E Transformation project plan, in accordance with the goals and timing, set by management; specifies the manning of the project, resources required, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used.
  • Controls the project budget and project progress, evaluates all project initiatives as to feasibility, costs/benefits and added value, takes corrective actions when necessary and generates adequate reporting.
  • Leads the E2E Transformation project, within the project budget and program strategy, in terms of quality, money, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing external resources.
  • Directs employees and gives them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally.
  • Reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal and makes proposals for training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Job Overview:
    • Leads projects which lead to innovations in a single domain E2E process.
    • Managing own E2E project team up to 45 (FTE equivalent)
    • Accent on realization of one main E2E process, including setting strategic direction.
    • Project duration: around 1 year.
    • One single domain project, severe changes involving multiple regions.
    • Manages "2" external (non-adidas) parties (Subcontractors, Partners, suppliers or vendors).
  • Know-How: Technical Know-How, Management Breadth, Human Relation Skills:
    • Project management methods, relevant organization and E2E process and experience in managing medium to large projects.
    • Successfully integrates assigned main E2E process in a single domain.
    • Fosters excellent cross functional communications and integrates the work of managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Thinking environment & challenge
    • One single domain project, severe changes. Involving multiple business areas.
    • Well prepared action plan for the current six months and have a clear sense of what will be achieved in the year to come.
    • Implementation of new E2E solution to cope with severe change in part of business process.
    • Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work.
    • Develops and implements the job and organization structures necessary to successfully deliver the work.

Accountability: Freedom to Act, Magnitude, Decision Making

    • Objectives of action are clearly defined by policies, but considerable freedom is permitted in achieving end results.
    • Ongoing responsibility for leading major projects that impact activities/operation of a business.
    • Determines the project plan.
    • Impact on efficiency and effectiveness of key E2E processes.
    • Exercises judgment and influence on key process decisions within an area.
    • Manages project budget (> € 1M) and makes capital spending recommendations.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc (University Degree).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in mid to large scale project or program management.
  • PMP certified (Desirable).
  • Scrum Master certified (Derirable).
