Department Overview
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, Government, and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in the following key areas of finance: Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency, and Derivative products.
Regulatory & Supervisory Management proactively supports the TD Securities Global Markets' businesses to achieve: sustainable business strategies; effective and efficient operational processes; effective supervision and control processes; and alignment with the Bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Employee Change Management
- Act as specialist in the execution of Global Markets Front Office Employee Change.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences comfortably and effectively within RSM, the Front Office, Business Heads, and Senior Executives.
- Accountable to ensure efficiency and completeness of execution of individual employee on/off-boarding and employee change management for TD Securities’ Global Markets across all regions.
- Responsible for facilitating the timely on/off-boards / transfers / departures of Global Markets employees and related application accesses through communication with other internal service groups and related follow-up.
- Manage all ad hoc access requests and access issues for Global Markets.
- Manage the execution and follow up with HR on Associate Rotationalprogram/interns/co-ops.
- Manage Service Level Agreements and escalation to all support and provisioning teams that are decentralized globally.
- Standard Roles Document ("SRD") reviews and triage.
- Provide support to GMBC's Global Telephony mandate.
Other Accountabilities
- Undertake information gathering, research and analysis of data to provide relevant advice and information.
- Assist with various Global Markets reviews, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Create and take ownership of existing and new business management reporting, including presentations and dashboards to be shared with senior management.
- Provide management with analysis of issue drivers, root causes, and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Within area of accountability, identify and investigates standard and nonstandard issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our Front Office partners as well as with independent support and control groups to facilitate the achievement of the above Core Accountabilities.
- Will have the opportunity to participate in small/mid-size projects and provide input to policy and project development enhancements.
- Respond to stakeholder requests, escalating identified issues with recommendations for further management action where required.
- Ensure ongoing communication with the team regarding status and progress of tasks and activities.
- Participate fully as a member of the broader RSM team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Develop own professional expertise through on-the-job training and observation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and entry-level up to 3 years of Capital Markets experience or internships within the banking and finance industry.
- Prior knowledge and understanding of business processes, products and procedures across Global Markets is a strong requirement.
- Strong technical / development skills are a key requirement (e.g., Python, UiPath, etc.)
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.):
- Strong knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, etc.) is critical; ability to develop macros, write/edit code in VBA would be very advantageous.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills; have an eye for detail; initiative to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution.
- Able to understand detailed and technical issues, can distill and summarize the problems, and recommend solutions to senior management.
- A self-starter who can think critically and make decisions independently, while also able to collaborate with business, infrastructure support and control contacts to achieve strategic and tactical objectives.

Depth & Scope:
- Interacts with various levels of Trading & Sales Management dependent on the task
- Facilitates the surveillance of Trading and Sales activities to be in line with regulatory rules and industry standard practices
- Performs supervisory reviews as described by the firm, Written Supervisory Procedures
- Documents Regulatory Reviews and the escalations of issues
- Works with Legal and Compliance Departments to implement various required supervisory reviews and/or update existing reviews
- Facilitates Trading Management’s control, governance and adherence to all policies, procedures and regulations
- Review Email for assigned businesses
- Assist in desk-based surveillance
- Assists in exception reporting reviews and reporting reviews for assigned businesses
- Monitors Day-to-day front office electronic communications (including corporate e-mail, instant messages, Firm blackberry, Bloomberg messages and Instant messaging, external messaging communications via AOL, Reuters Mindalign and emailed attachments)
- Reports all questionable emails including but not limited to customer complaints, unapproved outside business activities, indications of use of unauthorized domains, unapproved sales literature or correspondence
- Reports correspondence that may be deemed inappropriate, false, deceptive or misleading or questionable in a timely matter
- Maintains a weekly log of all statistics and percentages of emails reviewed and able to provide weekly reporting documenting
- closed and outstanding issues
- Summarizes all reviews for formal presentation to Senior Management
