This position works in the Structural Heart R&D lab. This position works to assist R&D engineers, and/or teams in developing and executing tests to analyze products, materials, processes, or equipment. This level of position requires an extensive knowledge base and high independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Timely execute assigned tasks for project deliverables.
  • Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions and defined test methods.
  • Work with engineers and internal/external vendors to maintain/fix/calibrate/qualify lab equipment.
  • Develop new test methods and/or make revisions to existing test methods.
  • Construct prototype products and/or detailed test methods from concepts.
  • Coordinate procuring and qualification of new or modified test equipment.
  • Organize and document testing data and prepare reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
  • Use developed networks to assist engineering teams in obtaining necessary materials, services, and test data.
  • Work with internal resources and external vendors to identify and obtain supplies and services.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis of results.
  • Train others on new product processes and procedures.

Required qualifications:

  • 3 years with an AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
  • Previous experience in medical device industry.
  • Operating testing equipment in the structural heart space.
