As a Senior Accountant in Technical Accounting and Policy, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and updating our global accounting policies, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and driving process improvements. Your expertise in US GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls, combined with your ability to manage multiple tasks and work with a diverse team, will be instrumental in our company’s financial success.
This position requires working during late evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included. Are you available to work during these Non-Shift hours?
What you'll be doing
- Accounting Policies: Maintain and update global accounting policies, including the adoption of new accounting standards in accordance with US GAAP.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders by responding to technical accounting inquiries and prepare accounting memorandums for non-standard accounting transactions.
- Financial Statement Updates: Update financial statement disclosures and footnote schedules for 10Q/10K filings. Support the revenue accounting team in the preparation of contract reviews that require significant judgment or are significant in value.
- Internal Controls and SOX Compliance: Ensure the internal controls related to accounting policies are designed, implemented, and operating effectively for SOX compliance. Assist the Stock Compensation team in review of material stock modifications.
- Support and Reporting: Support the company in completing special projects, as assigned. Prepare ad-hoc reporting based on inquiries received from third parties (i.e., government bodies) and/or our internal business partners.
What we're looking for
- Comprehensive and current understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting principles and regulations, specifically revenue recognition and stock compensation
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and convey information concisely
- Big 4 and similar experience with public companies preferred
