What you'll do- Help implement the global event strategy for the Security Business Group, encompassing trade shows, sponsored events, and proprietary events. These span from major product launch events to intimate workshops and include engagements for different audience levels, from C-suite executives to technical professionals, and varies from security-centric to Cisco corporate-wide events.
- Collaborate with an in-house team of event producers and strategists, as well as external contractors and event agency partners
- Work with marketing leaders across SBG, including teams responsible for Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Account-Based Marketing, Content, Design, and Advocacy, to implement seamless event experiences tied to core product launches.
- Input into planning of Cisco's participation and investment strategy in various events
- Support the management of logistical aspects of Cisco's event presence in security, including booth design, catering, entertainment, transportation, invitations, speaker arrangements, equipment, promotional items, and printed materials
- Adhere to event budget requirements on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Engage in research, information gathering, and contract negotiations for event services as needed
- Maintain regular communication with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and information flow.
- Provide partners with feedback and regular reports on event performance and impact.
- Ensure that event activities follow legal, insurance, sustainability, health, and safety regulations.
- Help measures the efficiency of events.
- Supervise competitive activities and stay informed about industry event trends.
- Innovate within the events space, e.g. adoption of new AI technologies to improve event experiences.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
- 5+ years of experience across large-scale, global, and white-glove executive events in a B2B setting
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- IT events experience
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
