You will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of Roadway design assignments, subsequently providing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company. You will work on a variety of tasks pertaining to transportation projects.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Researching design options and document findings Project Engineers and/or Project Managers
- Preparing and reviewing roadway plans, detail drawings and project specifications
- Performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations and utility research and coordination
- Coordinating project assignments with engineers and technicians in other disciplines
- Attend kick-off and design review meetings, and interact with clients
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or on track to obtain
- Experience in utilizing computer programming to solve engineering problems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team setting
- Excellent wriitten and verbal communications
- Strong organization, time management and problem-solving skills
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience with Microstation and Open Roads
