Your Impact
As an Inside System Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Technical Engagement - Build trust as a technical advisor for potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating how our solutions meet those needs
- Sales Support - Oversee critical phases of the sales process, including needs assessment, demonstrations, proof of concept, and product definition
- Product Showcase - Present our product portfolio and its features during customer meetings and events
- Consultative Relationships - Forge robust consultative bonds with individuals in customer and partner organizations to ensure their contentment
- Sales Team Support - Deliver advanced training and support to sales teams across various business regions
- Industry Awareness - Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape to effectively present and promote optimal client solutions
Your Experience
- Alumnus of Palo Alto Networks System Engineering Academy
OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent IT work experience or equivalent military experience required
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to engage with customers effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- An adaptable and collaborative team player
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and concepts, as well as principles of defense in depth and the various layers of security (network, application, endpoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of common cyber threats, and basic security technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), antivirus software, encryption, and authentication methods is important
- Foundational Knowledge of Data Networking, including the OSI model, IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6), subnetting and common networking protocols and services
- Basic knowledge of network design principles, including LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) configurations, is important - This includes understanding network topologies and network architecture
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $124,700/yr to $171,500/yr.
