Under general supervision, the Financial Administration Intermediate Analyst (“Intermediate Analyst”) prepares quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for investment companies in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) requirements.
- Prepare and/or review financial statements and SEC filings (e.g., N-CSR, N-CEN, 24f-2, N-1A, etc.)
- Ensure timely payment of fund expenses and support the monitoring and implementation of fund expense budgets
- Perform initial review of monthly and annual excise distributions, and monthly total return calculations
- Prepare quarterly Board reports
- Assist in fund year-end tax reporting
- Demonstrate an intermediate understanding of investment types, mutual funds, ETFs, and financial markets
- Respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
- Host training sessions and prepare training materials, create and maintain procedures, participate in process improvement committees and/or initiatives.
- Work on special projects, other regulatory filings and ad hoc requests as assigned
Qualifications
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
- Demonstrate an intermediate understanding of investment types, mutual funds, ETFs, and financial markets
- Intermediate experience working with Microsoft Office applications
