About the Role

This is not your typical Business Development opportunity. You will generate and nurture sales processes, prospecting Australia’s largest brands by attending networking events and drive creative outreach programs that grab your prospects’ attention. You will identify a target’s needs and the key decision-makers, then tailor your outreach accordingly.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Generate quality sales opportunities through proactive, strategic prospecting and networking
  • Create and execute a multi-faceted prospecting plan through research, cold outreach focussed on in-person meetings, attending industry events, leveraging personal networks and following up on marketing-generated leads
  • Research industries and companies to find the best targets and establish, develop, and nurture relationships with decision-makers through a variety of mediums
  • Apply proven consultative sales approaches and techniques developed internally at Riskified
  • Identify prospects’ key questions and pain points to help them understand the benefits of Riskified’s platform
  • Work closely with our marketing team to generate quality demand generation
  • Represent Riskified at industry events in Australia and New Zealand
  • Work as part of a very supportive team with Account Executives and other company resources to win new clients for Riskified
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of B2B tech sales experience, ideally with prospecting/business development experience or in consulting
  • Experience in working with Australia and New Zealand buying teams
  • Experience in payments and/or eCommerce experience is a huge plus!
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to use both in an effective and relevant way in a sales process
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable, and able to build relationships with prospects
  • Highly professional with excellent presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Self starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment with autonomy
  • Technical experience is a plus (our product and integrations are highly technical)
